We have a little plot of land in France which we are building a house on. I will rephrase, we will be building a house on. It is taking forever, the paperwork that is. And just when all is good, everyone skips town and heads to the Mediterranean for three months Summer vacation. Eeep! But in one way it is a blessing because there are some fruit trees which will have to be removed to make way for the house, sadly. But due to delays we were able to enjoy another season of delicious home grown goodness. Last week I made plum jam and a scrumptious plum tart. Yes we are all about the tarts at our place, still.

France?! How lovely. tell you what when we move to Brazil you can visit us and then we'll visit you in France. Oh and I thought you would like to know that the lovely book and illustration I bought from you back in May found a lovely home. My friend just gave birth to a baby boy and I saved it all this time so I could send it to him. His name is Mozely. he lives in Hawaii and apparently he loves the book.
Yum! That looks delicious!
Sorry there isn't really a recipe! I sort of used the plum tart recipe in a Marie Claire book, but ad-libbed quite a bit, like usual. I find it virtually impossible to follow a recipe! Basically it's a wholemeal crust spread with a well beaten mix of ground almonds, eggs, vanilla, butter and sugar. Then halved plums on top. Don't ask quantities, no idea!
